@Rebldoomer : Yo! …
@Rebldoomer : Yo! They EVER heard of word-of-mouth/free Advertising?!
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
@Rebldoomer You’re …
@Rebldoomer You’re not “promoting” anything to increase their income unless you’re going out buying their cds, instead of getting songs online. What are you stealing? The product they spent sometimes years writing, producing and getting just right for you to spend 5 minutes of your day to hear what took them a year or two to complete. Youtube and specifically WMG doesn’t want the song on youtube because it’s giving the song away to other people who didn’t buy it. How hard is that to get?
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
@Rebldoomer No, you …
@Rebldoomer No, you apparently don’t get that it costs sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars for artists to produce, mix, mass produce cds of the finished product, distribute and pay all fo the people responsible for all of the above. Do you think those artists do it all so you can get it online for free just because you “like their song” and think you’re promoting it? Go to the RIAA website and see what a lot of artists have to say. They say you’re stealing.
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
yo dude even if you …
yo dude even if you Purchase the song from itunes, youtube still doesnt want the song on here. do you get it? also, it is not stealing from the artist because what the am i stealing? i am not stealing from the artist. i am actually promoting the band’s song. i have seen so many youtube videos where i liked the song in the background and wanted to know what the song was. you just dont get it man.

WMG ruins …
WMG ruins everything! I hate them.
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
The same is also …
The same is also true for other basic things in life. Take something out of a book exactly as it was published by someone else. What is it? Plagiarism. Why is it wrong? It’s taking something that belongs to someone else and using it as your own. This is why copyright laws exist. Otherwise artists would never make any money due to “bootleg” people selling their work everywhere for a low price and no royalties at all paid to the artist for making the music. What are they supposed to live on?
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
It’s far from ” …
It’s far from “confusing.” Someone else makes something to sell, and someone comes along and steals it and uses it as their own work in videos to show the world. That’s called theft and piracy. The RIAA takes people to court for this and wins every single time. Why? Because it’s wrong to spread videos everywhere like this. You don’t “work hard on your videos.” Half the work and video itself IS the audio of the artist. You put crap on a screen and put someone else’s music to it. Fail.
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
This video doesn’t …
This video doesn’t make a lot of sense, actually. I can very much understand why WMG (Warner Music Group) doesn’t want pirated songs on people’s videos that they are not entitled to post. It’s stealing from the artist. People can play the “I’m poor and don’t have money to buy songs” game. But if you don’t have money for other things in life, do you steal it? Why? Risk of jail? Yes. Artists make a living by this music. It took hundreds of thousands of dollars to make.

And doesn’t a music …
And doesn’t a music artists work hard to make a living ?
Has it not got harder in this day & age for them when you folks just want to download all there material for free .
Copyright laws was put in place to protect an artists material .
What’s the point of creating something if free loaders are just gonna take a piece of it .
Pretty darn sure i would want my material protecting .
If i wanted to make living in the entertainment industry !!!

This is totally off …
This is totally off the subject, but the video annotation says “rate 5 stars” – won’t people rate how THEY want to rate? Isn’t it awfully presumptuous to tell people to rate your own video 5 stars?
February 22nd, 2010 at 6:30 pm
This is what I …
This is what I think happened. When google bought youtube a lot of companies that own a lot of music on youtube would sue youtube for the songs random people put on. So WMG came in and did all the shit. But again this is my suggestion

You know, Warners, …
You know, Warners, you’re actually doing yourself out of some business. I use YouTube to locate songs and videos and then go and buy them. Locking them up isn’t good for business in the long run.

So what recourse of action we take if we want to use a piece of music and do it legally,sweet FA. Oh, the big 4 cry foul everytime someone DL’s a piece of music but try and do the right thing – don’t even bother.
