Re: German Record label looking for music!!

March 242010

My a bit minimalistic track “Diving”
A lot of people told me that this is a chilled track, giving you the chance to lean back and relax
I hope you like it!

Oh yeah, please rate and comment, so i can improve!

Mein etwas minimalistisch geratener Track “Diving” also “Abtauchen”

I guess you’re more concerned about the audio than video, thus not much of a movie :) Hope you like the audio, though.

J
—————-

A while ago i asked for music to go on the tonemine web site.
http://www.djtutor.com/djnews
This is completely different!, this is a request from a chap in Germany.
All you need to do is post your music( part of is fine) in a video responce along with just a picture and i will get the people involved to look at the responces, and if they like your style it will be up to them to get in touch!

E MAIL SENT TO ME
————————

Hi Jonathan,
I’ve been a fan since the very beginning of your youtube-career.
Anyway: I need your help.
I’m startin up my own label with a friend of mine in the near future. We mainly focus on electrohouse oriented tracks and would like to release on Vinyl and digital.
Now here is where you can help us:
Because you got such a massive amount of people watching your stuff, you are able to reach many of those we are looking for:
Young people who have been producing electro / house tracks, and actually think they’re making proper stuff.(( Johnathan:- to be honest you can be 97yrs old and if you can make music that kicks then go for it!!)
We want young, smart bedroom-producers from all around the world who send in the very best they’ve ever done to us. We want to find good artists for our very first release.
“So if there is anyone out there who thinks he can put a proper track together and wants his( her) stuff to be released on a new upcoming german label, then this is your chance! We want you!”
So maybe you can do a video and make contact with young artists, and help an idea become true. Or you know another great way to do this, maybe in a competition or something.
Hopefully you like the idea :)

Rehearsal Space: A-Trak

March 92010

For more episodes of Rehearsal Space, http://www.zoom-in.com/music/rehearsal-space

Alain Macklovitch aka A-Trak began his music career in Montreal at the age of 13. Influenced by his older brother David (of the band Chromeo), he began scratching records on his father’s turntable. Before long, his DJ battles became the stuff of legend, culminating in A-Trak winning the DMC World Championship when he was just 15 years old. Since then he’s accumulated numerous awards and has found success both as a DJ and a producer.

In this episode of Rehearsal Space, A-Trak discusses the pros and cons of being Kanye West’s tour DJ and the appeal of combining hip hop and club music. He also explains how Apple’s Logic Studio gives him the control and the tools he needs to create music at home. Despite all of his successes, A-Trak doesn’t look backwards. He’s too busy working on his debut album, running his record label Fool’s Gold, producing tracks for Kid Sister, and planning what’s next.
