How do I record music onto vinyl?

How do I record my band’s music onto a vinyl 7” disk?
We want to record some LP’s and EP’s but when we get to them in the future, we want to know how to record them, and we are NOT recording them onto CD disks, we prefer to use vinyl. Thanks if you could help us out.

That is some really old technology. There might be a record company out there that still presses vinyl records, but it won’t be easy to find and I suspect that it is going to be expensive to get it done. The best advice I can give you is to try doing a search for record pressing companies.

Unlike CDs, which are very easy to do, making vinyl disks isn’t something that a band can do themselves. It’s a very involved process that requires equipment and training that only a professional recording studio (or a very wealthy person) can afford. You’ll need to find a studio that both has the necessary equipment and is available for use by unsigned bands – and that won’t be easy or cheap.

Maybe you’ll get lucky, and I hope you do, but I think you’ll probably find that your only choice will be digital.
