    In the dark?

Best and only camera that will do that is a converted DSLR (IR only) and a IR flash. Not lightweight, does not record sound and the IR conversion alone is $400, so that is out.

A camcorder that has 0 LUX and shoots IR with an on-board IR lamp is lightweight and can record sound .. but it is way out of your budget $1,245

Now for the really bad news. All concerts are copyrighted and using a camera or recording sound is prohibited.

From a ticket to a recent concert I shot:

"Prohibited items (CAMERAS and SOUND RECORDING DEVICES) that are discovered during inspections at Stadium entrances must either be returned to the owner’s vehicle or discarded. The Stadium will not provide a storage area for these items. Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to being confiscated and the person in possession of those items is subject to arrest. Guests arriving by mass transit must take particular caution not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made."

I have press creds and a venue press pass when I shoot these events.
