    It’s about sacred …
It’s about sacred places and spiritual awakening. Mt Kailish, Tibet is a sacred site to four different religions. The House of Stone and Light is what the Havesupe Natives in the southwest US call the Grand Canyon.

    Whenever I hear it …
Whenever I hear it I always think about the rough and lonely path we take in life. How it hurts and yet we keep going because we believe that in the end it will be worth it.

The house of stone and light makes me think of heaven, or a final resting place that is our reward for making it through to the end and not compromising who and what we are.

I know it sounds cheesy and it probably isn’t anywhere near what the song means, but that’s what I’ve got.

I think it’s about whatever you feel it’s about. It doesn’t really have to be about anything, as long as you enjoy it.

    I’ve always …
I’ve always wondered if “The House of Stone and Light” refers to Heaven? The line “I must go there, to find my soul” is one key. He’s also pretty spiritual about what he mentions, so I wouldn’t exclude that as a possibility.

    Martin Page may …
Martin Page may have written this song for a particular reason or not but what really matters is what you feel and think of when you hear. Personally, I love this song and regard it as a spiritual call-to-our-pure-essence piece. My stress just melts away and I view existence in an enlightened, cosmic way. Love to all!!!

Still can’t figure out what this song is about, and how come nobody ever seems to know what I’m talking about whenever I try to mention this song, yet it was a HUGE top 40 hit? The name of the song couldn’t be that unrecognizable, and I’m sure I’m no the only one who remembers and likes it!
