what format do I use to record mp3 music to a cd to use with my car: 2005 Ford Five Hundred?

I have tried to record music using the data option on windows and when I play it in my car it says bad disc. I don’t understand. Do I need to use another program other than windows media player to record the cd?
go to windows media player
go to burn and drag the files to the burn list,
then burn it:D
mp3 files are pretty much playable on anything nowdays.
unless your using a record player
