How to record music straight from computer?

Is there any way to record music from listening to it online without using a mic? like any type of program? i want to try and record a song off of youtube but the sound quality is horrible coming from my speaker straight to the mic.
Your best bet you be to download the file rather than using your sound card to do the work.
What you are trying to do is called a loop back. What you can do is take a sound cable and hook it up from your speaker port to your line in port.
You can then use windows sound recorder to capture the output of your speakers.
I would not recommend this because it requires a audio cable that you may not have + the quality would not be good as the method I am about to detail.
What you should do however is use a website:

They do online file conversions, all you have to do is
Step 1
give them the youtube url (address of the page where the song is)
Step 2
select the format you want
Step 3
enter the email address you want the link to the file sent to
I always a spam email account.
if you don’t want to give them your email account just enter one from http://www.mailinator.com/
if you need a guide on how to use mailinator or have any questions just update your post.
This can also be done with software but it requires you install about 3 things, if you would like to do this with software I can detail how it is done but the website is the easiest (and fastest) way.
