How do you record (music, voices) of an mp4 player?
May 32010
I won this mp4 player out of a claw machine and it came with no directions. When you want to record music instead of buying it, what do you do? I’ve tried before and it doesn’t save my records. Thanks
It’s probably one of the Action chipset based chinese "S1 MP3/MP4" players. Did it have a CD, or software preloaded, to do conversion (AMV video).
The onboard recording capabilities are rudimentary, some can record voice using an internal microphone, and the ones with FM radio may be able to record from that.
The model I have is the Tevion 5937

The manuals and videos for that model will probably cover the same kind of stuff, they generally only differ in a few optional features – some have FM radio, some have FM wireless sender and the controls and menus are pretty much common to them all.
To record anything else, you need to record on the computer, or rip MP3 tracks from CD.

Jeri Ellsworth describes how she attached a floppy drive to a tape deck recorded and then played back audio. A simple circuit stepped the head automatically using the spindle index pulse. A push button was used to control the direction. The drive head wrote to more than one track at a time, causing an interesting reverb effect. ***Erasing the disk with rare earth magnets while spinning in the drive was not mentioned in the video.
