I have an HP Pavilion dv4000.
So the laptop only burns at x4 Max. and I started noticing that it no longer burned the videos I recorded with my camra. Then I decided to make a back-up of all my music and i notice that then dont work either.
so i look a the disc’s and it looks like there only half-burned and sometimes it looks like its burned in layres like from the inner circle to the middle of the lable is dark then up-to like 5 cm. after that its a little lighter then the rest liike not burned
Can I replace the drive or do i need a new laptop?
Offcourse you can replace the drive.
HP will sell it to you for some 100 to 150$ but you can easily find a brand new for sale at ebay for some 50 $
I changed mine last week.
